Terms of Service

Last updated: October 15, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Moa, including the website at moa.money, the web app at app.moa.money and the Moa mobile apps (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully.

1. About these Terms

The Service is operated by Argently LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Moa”, “we”, “us” or “our”). You can contact us at help@moa.money.

Section 18 adds terms for users in particular countries. If you live in one of those countries, its terms also apply to you, and where they differ from the rest of these Terms, they prevail.

Before a new account opens, Moa asks you to agree to these Terms, and you agree to them by tapping Agree and continue. Signing in does not agree to anything. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you use the Service. The commitments it makes to you form part of these Terms.

2. The Service

Moa analyzes the transaction data you provide and estimates the items each purchase is likely to have included, using the amount, the merchant, public menu and price information, and your previous confirmations.

Itemizations produced this way are estimates. They are identified as estimates in the Service and may be inaccurate.

The Service can also read a receipt photo, a screenshot of your card app or a purchase you describe. These features use AI models, and what they produce can be wrong or incomplete, even when it refers to your own transactions, so check anything that matters against your own records. Nothing they produce changes your data until you confirm it.

3. Not financial advice

Moa is not a bank, a payment service, or a financial, tax, legal or accounting advisor. It does not hold or move money, and it cannot take any action on your accounts.

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial advice. The Service is not a substitute for your bank statements, receipts or professional advice, and its estimates must not be used as a record of fact, including in any filing with a tax authority.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or older if Section 18 sets a higher age where you live, to use the Service. You may use it only for personal purposes, and only with accounts and transaction data that you are entitled to use.

You may use the Service wherever you live. If Section 18 has terms for the country where you live, they apply to you as well; if it does not, these Terms apply to you as written. Some features, such as connecting a bank account, are available only in the countries where Section 18 says so.

5. Your account

You can sign in with Apple or with a link sent to your email address. Anyone with access to your email account or your device may be able to access your Moa account, so please keep both secure.

Each account is for one person, and you must not share your sign-in with anyone else. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at help@moa.money.

6. Connecting financial accounts

Connecting a bank account or Apple Wallet is optional, and all access is read-only: the Service cannot make payments or change anything in your accounts. Bank connections are available only in the countries where Section 18 says so.

Bank connections are provided by Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”). You sign in to your bank within Plaid’s own interface, so your bank credentials are never entered into Moa and are never shared with us. By connecting a bank, you authorize Plaid to access your account data on your behalf and to share it with us. Plaid handles that data under Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy.

Where Apple Wallet import is available, transactions are read on your device with your permission, and you choose which transactions to import.

You can disconnect a bank at any time in Settings → Cards & accounts, or revoke Apple Wallet access in your device’s settings. Disconnection takes effect immediately for future syncing.

By connecting an account, you confirm that it belongs to you and that you are authorized to share its data with us for the purposes described in these Terms.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on services provided by third parties, including Plaid, Apple, your financial institutions and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability.

8. Your content

“Your content” means the transactions, corrections, notes, trip journals, photos and other material that you add to the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process and display your content solely to provide the Service to you and to the people you choose to share it with, such as through a trip share link. This license ends when your content is erased.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models.

When you correct an item’s price or suggest a change to a merchant’s information, that contribution may be used to improve the merchant’s public menu and price data, which contains no information about you. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use contributions for that purpose, and they remain in that public data after your account is closed and your data is erased.

9. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you must not:

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software and design, belongs to us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights in the Service to you.

11. Fees

The Service is currently free of charge, and there is no paid plan.

12. Account closure and termination

You can close your account at any time, without contacting us, in Settings → Delete account. Your account is closed immediately and a 30-day period begins, during which none of your data is erased and you can restore your account by signing in and choosing Keep my account. At the end of that period, your data is erased. Before closing your account, you can export your data in Settings → Export my data. The full process is described on the account deletion page.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches the acceptable use rules above. Where reasonably possible, we will contact you before doing so.

If we discontinue the Service, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to export your data before any data is erased.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available without interruption, that any merchant will be recognized, that any estimate will be accurate, or that any feature will continue to be offered.

The Service depends on third parties that we do not control, including your financial institutions, Plaid, Apple and AI model providers, any of which may change or discontinue their services.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for any loss of profit or opportunity, or for any decision you make based on an estimate shown in the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you. If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect the rights that the law of the place where you live gives you and that a contract cannot take away.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account and export your data.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the place where you live, and you may bring proceedings in its courts. Section 18 says more for some countries.

If you have a concern about the Service, we encourage you to contact us first at help@moa.money so that we can try to resolve it.

17. General

Transfer. We may transfer these Terms to an entity that takes over the operation of the Service, provided that your rights under them are not reduced. We will notify you of any such transfer.

Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address associated with your account, or through the app.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, we do not waive our right to enforce it later.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the commitments in our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.

18. Country-specific terms

The sections below add terms for people who live in particular countries. If you live in one of them, the terms for that country apply to you in addition to the rest of these Terms. If your country is not listed, the rest of these Terms apply to you as written (Section 4).

18.1 United States

You can connect bank accounts through Plaid (Section 6). The rest of these Terms apply to you as written.
